I am excited to be serving as pastor at Sardis UMC.  I have been a part of the M ethodist Church my whole life.  I was on staff as the music minister FUMC Ennis for 15 years before being called to serve as a full time pastor here.  My wife, Becky, and I have been married for 29 years.  We have one biological daughter and have adopted 7 children making a total of 8.  Two of our children are grown and three are in college still leaving 3 at home.  We are all happy to be serving and are looking forward to being a part of building God's kingdom together.  We are looking forward to getting to know each of you in this journey together.  God bless each of you during this time of change.

Renee serves as the Youth Coordinator for Sardis UMC, as well as Venus UMC.

Carol is the music leader for Sunday morning worhsip.

James Montgomery - Organist / Pianist / Music Team Accompanist

James is the organist and one of two pianists for SUMC. His primary duty is playing the organ for the services, as well as accompanies the music team along with Arthur Sweeney. James also serves as the website liason. James has been playing the piano since he was 4 years old, and began organ lessons at age 12. SUMC was his first playing job at age 15, and he has had the privilege to play in churches in Dallas, Lancaster, and Pennsylvania before returning to Sardis in 2009.

Mac Sibley - Pianist

Mac Sibley is the pianist, and also coordinates the 5th Sunday Singings.

Arthur plays the synthesizer, and assists in the accompaniment of the music team along with James Montgomery by adding just the right touch of sound effects to each selection.

Mike is the go-to guy for the sound system, and plays the bass guitar for the services.
